DELTA CONTINUES MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENT IN THEIR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Delta has partnered with globally renowned design company Alessi to curate a modern, stylish and functional collection of service products and tableware, which will appear in flight beginning April 1. Delta’s serviceware enhancements are part of the airline’s multi-billion dollar investment in the customer experience that includes a cabin modernization program featuring new seats, seatback entertainment systems with free entertainment, high-capacity overhead bins, access to Wi-Fi on nearly all flights, complimentary meals in the main cabin on select flights, upgraded free main cabin snacks, chef-curated meals in Delta One, a seasonal wine program and more. READ MORE

 

VIRGIN ATLANTIC HAVE ANNOUNCED THEIR A330 UPPER CLASS REFIT

Throughout this year, Virgin Atlantic are re-configuring the Upper Class cabin on their A330 fleet. The update brings the aircraft in line with the popular 787, and will include the latest In Flight Entertainment system and their award winning mood lighting. The newly configured cabin will include 31 Upper Class seats and a bar. As the Upper Class bars are bespoke, this will be unique to the A330 aircraft. They will also be adding a Wander Wall. Passengers in Premium Economy can take a visit here to help themselves to some snacks. VA are expecting to welcome the first aircraft to have undergone the refit back into service this month, with the work expected to be complete on the whole A330 fleet by early 2018. UNITED AIRLINES IS REVITALISING ITS ROUTE NETWORK ACROSS THE U.S AND EUROPE

United Airlines is revitalising its route network with more destinations, flights and convenient connections for customers in both domestic and international markets. Subject to government approval, the carrier will add a seasonal route between San Francisco and Munich for the first time ever, and one of the carrier’s daily flights between Newark, New Jersey and Tel Aviv, Israel will be upgraded with the new Boeing 777-300ER.  READ MORE

 

 

IHG SIGNS EIGHT NEW HOTELS IN GERMANY

Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) yesterday announced the signing of eight new hotels within the Holiday Inn brand family in Germany. The announcement comes as IHG has recently reported a strong year for the market, and three consecutive record years of signings, including 17 hotels in 2016. One of the key drivers of IHG’s success in the region has been working with Multiple Development Agreement (MDA) partners to develop in locations where there is guest demand. Germany is IHG’s second biggest market in Europe with 69 hotels and 38 in the pipeline. CLICK HERE 

 

QANTAS TRANSFORMS DEPARTURE EXPERIENCE IN BRISBANE

Qantas will open the doors to its new Domestic Business Lounge and Premium Lounge Entry as part of the airline’s multi-million dollar upgrade at Brisbane Airport. The upgrade began in October 2016 with the opening of a new International Lounge and will be completed in the coming months with an upgraded Qantas Club and new Chairmans Lounge at the domestic terminal. Premium Lounge Entry will offer top tier Frequent Flyers an exclusive check-in area, bag drop, security screening and escalator with direct access to the new Lounge Precinct. The Domestic Business Lounge is 30 percent bigger than the previous facility with a luxurious design inspired by the beauty of Queensland’s landscape. BRITISH AIRWAYS PARENT COMPANY TO LAUNCH LOW-COST LONG-HAUL AIRLINE

British Airways’ parent company International Airlines Group (IAG) is launching a new low cost long-haul airline brand flying transatlantic from Spain. From June 2017, flights on LEVEL will go from Barcelona to Los Angeles, San Francisco (Oakland), Buenos Aires and Punta Cana. LEVEL will fly two new Airbus A330 aircraft branded in its own livery and fitted with 293 economy and 21 premium economy seats. CLICK HERE 

 

THE PRINCIPAL LONDON IS DUE TO RE-OPEN THIS SUMMER

Formerly known as The Hotel Russell, this hotel has had a £90m refurbishment and is due to re-open this Summer as The Principal London. The hotel will open in stages throughout the course of the summer, and will fully launch in September 2017. Whilst the final touches are made to some areas, be one of the first guests to experience a sneak preview of the newly renovated hotel located in the heart of Bloomsbury, London’s most literary neighbourhood. Although not all of the hotel food and beverage services will be fully operational until September, the unique Coffeehouse, Burr & Co. will be open from early morning through to late evening for breakfast, lunch and light snacks and the cocktail bar will be offering a unique and extraordinary selection of hand-crafted drinks during this time.  READ MORE
