AMERICAN AIRLINES ANNOUNCE MORE ACCESS TO NORTH AMERICA FROM EUROPE

American Airlines is excited to announce they are giving customers more access to North America from Europe, with new summer service from Budapest (BUD) and Prague (PRG) to Philadelphia (PHL) and additional service from Venice (VCE) to Chicago (ORD). All flights will operate from 4 May until 27 October, 2018 – and will be available for booking from the 21 August, 2017.  READ MORE

 

 

DE VERE BEAUMONT ESTATE UNVEILS FIRST PHASE OF £9M REFURBISHMENT

De Vere Beaumont Estate, located in Windsor just 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport, has unveiled the first phase of its £9m renovation which is part of a wider £100m investment in the De Vere country estate hotels portfolio. The first phase of the development includes the addition of a new restaurant; 1705 Restaurant & Bar, which celebrates the best of British cuisine serving traditional and signature dishes. The first phase also includes the refurbishment of over 120 standard bedrooms and the addition of 14 new deluxe rooms, which were formerly meeting rooms. The Hanover and Hampton event suites and Hanover lounge are also being renovated as part of the project, as well as the 19th-century chapel, the estate’s grandest space. CLICK HERE 

 

QANTAS HAVE ANNOUNCED THAT THEY WILL RE-ROUTE THEIR LONDON-SYDNEY A380 SERVICE

Qantas has announced that they will re-route their daily London-Sydney A380 service (QF2/1) via Singapore rather than Dubai from 25th March 2018. Their daily Singapore-Melbourne services (QF36/35) will be upgraded from an A330 to an A380. The current London-Dubai-Melbourne service will be replaced with a direct 787 Dreamliner service to Perth and onwards to Melbourne. Customers will continue to have access to Qantas codeshare services from six ports in the UK on Emirates’ flights to Dubai and then onwards to Australia. These changes will provide Qantas with an outstanding proposition from London to Australia with double-daily services to Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane either via Singapore or Perth, daily direct service to Perth and new one-stop connections via Perth to a number of destinations in Australia including Adelaide. READ MORE

 

VIRGIN ATLANTIC BECOMES THE FIRST AIRLINE IN EUROPE TO BE FULLY WIFI CONNECTED

Virgin Atlantic has become the first airline in Europe to offer WiFi across its entire fleet – ensuring customers can remain connected across flights to and from the US, Caribbean, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. From today millions of customers travelling with Virgin Atlantic will be able to email, browse and socialise at 35,000ft from as little as £2.99 as the airline completes its ambitious Wi-Fi programme – at least a year ahead of other European long haul carriers. QATAR AIRWAYS IS ROLLING OUT A BESPOKE SERVICE FOR ITS PREMIUM CLASS PASSENGER

Qatar Airways is rolling out a bespoke service for its premium class passengers, giving them even more choice and freedom to create a personalised dining experience every time they travel on long-haul flights from Doha. The new Pre-Select Dining service is being introduced on selected flights to Europe, North and South America, Australia and New Zealand. Passengers travelling in First and Business Class will have the opportunity to pre-select one main course from the à la carte on-board menu, as far as 14 days in advance and up to 24 hours before take-off. This is in addition to the existing and exemplary Dining-on-Demand service already available for valued First and Business Class passengers.  READ MORE

 

THE ROXBURGHE HOTEL HAS RE-OPENED ITS DOORS

The Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square, formerly The Roxburghe Hotel, re-opened its doors early this month, in one of Edinburgh’s most iconic locations, following a multi-million pound top-to-toe refurbishment by multi-award-winning, British luxury design studio Goddard Littlefair. As it continues to create and shape its significant collection of city centre-hotels, PRINCIPAL unveiled The Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square’s stylish new look following a year-long phased refurbishment, which includes the complete transformation of its courtyard into an enchanting garden in the heart of the hotel. NONSTOP SEASONAL SERVICE BETWEEN LONDON HEATHROW AND DENVER

United Airlines is delighted to announce new daily nonstop service between London Heathrow and its Denver hub offering convenient access to the Rocky Mountains, as well as connections across the U.S. including Colorado and the neighbouring states. EMIRATES TO LAUNCH FOURTH DAILY SERVICE TO SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Emirates is set to introduce a fourth daily service from Dubai to Sydney from 25 March 2018, complementing its existing three daily A380 services and improving connections globally. The new service will be operated by Emirates’ iconic A380 aircraft and will increase passenger capacity on the route by 6,846 seats a week, inbound and outbound between Sydney and Emirates’ hub in Dubai, and represents a 7.3% increase in capacity for Emirates’ Australian services. The move will provide passengers travelling from Europe and North Africa greater connectivity to Australia. It also builds on Emirates’ partnership with Qantas, meeting continued demand for services to Dubai and complementing Qantas’ re-routing of its current Sydney to London service via Singapore (instead of Dubai). Emirates’ new service will offer passengers an afternoon departure from Sydney and a convenient arrival in main European cities the following morning. It also introduces a new option for passengers to depart London and main European cities in the morning with an afternoon arrival in Sydney the next day with a short connection in Dubai.  READ MORE
