EMIRATES GLASGOW CHAUFFEUR DRIVE OFFER HAS BEEN EXTENDED

Emirates fly twice daily to Dubai and beyond. Complimentary Chauffeur-drive service is available within a 150 miles radius of Glasgow Airport in First Class and within a 70 mile radius of Glasgow Airport for Business Class passengers. The Business class mileage is extended to include most Aberdeen and Inverness postcodes on all C and J class bookings as well as O and I class bookings where there are two passengers travelling together from the same address. READ MORE

 

BRITISH AIRWAYS HAS OPENED THE FIRST WING AT LHR TERMINAL 5

AMERICAN AIRLINES RESUMES DAILY SEASONAL SERVICE…

In May, American Airlines resumes daily seasonal service to Athens, Greece; Barcelona, Spain; Glasgow, Scotland; Lisbon, Portugal; Shannon, Ireland and Venice, Italy from Philadelphia. Daily, seasonal service will also operate from Charlotte hub to Dublin, Ireland; Madrid, Spain; Paris and Rome. Additional seasonal frequencies are also being added to Frankfurt, Germany from both Philadelphia and Charlotte, giving customers a choice of four daily non-stop flights from the East Coast. ACCOR HOTELS HAS REVEALED THAT THE WORLD’S LARGEST MERCURE WILL OPEN ITS DOORS NEXT MONTH

AccorHotels has revealed that the world’s largest Mercure will open its doors next month. Located on Dubai’s main Sheikh Zayed Road, Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights Hotel Suites & Apartments is currently undergoing a major refurbishment that will continue until the end of 2018. This will include the addition of more rooms, and by the time the project is complete, the 1,015-room hotel will be the largest Mercure property in AccorHotels’ global portfolio. READ MORE

TAP AIR PORTUGAL ANNOUNCES LONDON CITY-LISBON ROUTE

Flights from London City airport to Lisbon are being introduced by TAP Air Portugal. Two departures a day on weekdays will run from October 27 in addition to existing services to the Portuguese capital from Heathrow and Gatwick. The airline is to use a 106-seat Embraer 190 aircraft on the route – the only connection to Lisbon from the London docklands airport. CLICK HERE 

 

NEW TECHNOLOGY TO CUT SECURITY QUEUES AT LUTON AIRPORT

Luton airport is introducing new technology to help cut down delays during security checks. The airport hopes the new cloud-based planning platform will help staff predict the number of passengers using the security area at any given time, helping to ensure that the right number of staff are in place at peak times, avoiding delays. A similar system has already been implemented at other European airports, including Dublin and Geneva. READ MORE
