UNITED ARE ENHANCING THEIR PREMIUM TRANSCON SERVICE

All customers seated in business class will enjoy flat-bed seats and several new deluxe amenities not currently offered, like Saks Fifth Avenue custom-designed duvet and pillow, a redesigned amenity kit, hot towel service and increased number of food and beverage options including a featured drink, a Moscow Mule. BA CLUB WORLD SLEEP IMPROVEMENTS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WHITE COMPANY

As part of the £400m investment in transforming Club World, British Airways are introducing new bedding and amenity kits through a partnership with The White Company. Starting with the LHR-JFK route later this year, customers will receive an elegant day cushion, a bespoke soft large pillow with white cotton pillowcase, a super-soft woven blanket, a specially developed luxurious duvet, and a padded mattress topper to improve their quality of sleep. ALITALIA RETURNS TO INDIA: FLIGHTS TO NEW DELHI

Starting from 30 October, Alitalia will inaugurate a new daily direct Rome-New Delhi flight, resuming the service between Italy and India. Alitalia will operate the route with the newly designed Airbus A330 aircraft, offering three classes of service: Business, Premium Economy and Economy. Onboard services include newly redesigned cabin layouts, Wi-Fi connectivity and Italian cuisine. Alitalia’s MilleMiglia members will be able to earn and redeem miles on the new flights. The schedule is ideal for Alitalia passengers to connect to many other cities across India, such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Jaipur and Bangalore thanks to special agreements between Alitalia and Jet Airways, as well as with other major Indian airlines. READ MORE

 

DELTA TAKES FLIGHT FROM GLASGOW TO NEW YORK

Delta has launched its new nonstop service from Glasgow to New York-JFK, offering greater travel choice between Scotland and the U.S. Operated daily throughout the summer, the airline’s first-ever Glasgow route will provide convenient connections to more than 60 destinations throughout the U.S. and beyond via Delta’s New York hub. NOVOTEL LONDON STANSTED OPENED ITS DOORS TO GUESTS

The Novotel London Stansted has opened its doors to guests. The Hotel has re-branded from a Hilton to Novotel and has undergone considerable refurbishment, boasting 250 rooms, a restaurant and a bar, 8 meeting rooms, 24/7 gym and leisure facilities. EMIRATES EXPANDS FREE INFLIGHT WI-FI OFFERING

Emirates has expanded its popular free in-flight Wi-Fi service with generous rates for all flyers. Effective immediately, all Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members can enjoy free unlimited Wi-Fi during their Emirates flight, regardless of their class of travel. This privilege also applies to all Emirates Skywards members travelling in First and Business class. In addition, Economy class customers and non-Skywards members can now enjoy 20MB of free data usage within the first 2 hours of log in, double the current 10MB free being offered. Additional data can be purchased in 150MB or 500MB blocks at attractive rates, with tiered discounts for Skywards Silver and Blue members. CLICK HERE 

 

TRAVEL TO THE USA: ELECTRONIC BAN UPDATE

Effective immediately, the electronics ban has been lifted for; Emirates’ flights from Dubai International Airport to the U.S, Etihad flights from Abu Dhabi International Airport and Qatar Airways have all been exempted from the U.S. ban on laptops in airplane cabins after ramping up security measures to meet U.S. standards. The ban has also been lifted on Turkish Airline flights to the US from Istanbul Ataturk Airport. READ MORE
