LAUNCH OF SEVEN NEW ROUTES FROM MANCHESTER

British Airways is to launch seven new routes from Manchester Airport this summer and three new destinations from Manchester’s sister airport Stansted. From May the airline will begin summer-only direct flights from Manchester to the popular Spanish sunspots of Alicante, Malaga, Ibiza and Palma, the Greek island of Mykonos, Nice in the South of France and a weekly service to London City Airport.  READ MORE

 

KLM TO RESUME LONDON CITY SERVICE

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will resume service to London City Airport after an absence of almost eight years. KLM will begin with daily service and, in the weeks thereafter, increase frequency to four daily flights on weekdays and one to two flights a day on weekends CLICK HERE

INFLIGHT STREAMING: QUANTAS HOOKS UP WITH NETFLIX, SPOTIFY AND FOXTEL

The Australian Airline has teamed up with subscription sites Netflix and Spotify, as well as Australian TV app Foxtel, to offer passengers much more entertainment than you usually find on-board. While you have to pay for all three services normally, anyone can sign up for a free trial – you get 30 days without paying on Spotify and Netflix, and three days on Foxtel. The service will be rolled out on Qantas’ domestic flights later the month, along with superfast Wi-Fi that will reportedly be ten times faster than existing in-flight Wi-Fi. CLICK HERE 

 

SINGAPORE AIRLINES A350 TAKES OFF FROM MANACHESTER

UNITED AIRLINES WILL INCREASE THE FREQUENCY OF ITS HEATHROW

United Airlines will increase the frequency of its Heathrow – New York service to six-times daily, from 5 April through to 28 October this year. The additional daily flight will operate on a Boeing 763-300, offering 30 business class seats. CLICK HERE 

 

STANSTEAD EXTENDS TIME FOR FREE WI-FI

Free Wi-Fi for passengers using Stansted has been extended from one hour to up to four hours. The upgrade has been introduced alongside enhancements to improve airport internet access coverage. The free service is available in all main passenger areas including check-in, the departure lounge, arrivals hall and at the gate. READ MORE

 

VIRGIN ATLANTIC IS LAUNCHING NEW DIRECT FLIGHTS BETWEEN LONDON HEATHROW AND BARBADOS

Virgin Atlantic will be launching a direct flight between London Heathrow and Barbados. The new, twice weekly service will launch on 12 December 2017. Flights will go on sale from Monday 27 February.The new flights will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays as part of the winter 2017 schedule and will be operated on an Airbus A330. This new service means that we will now offer up to 11 Barbados flights per week from three UK Airports (Gatwick, Manchester and Heathrow).
