CTM partners with OGUK to bring sustainable travel choices to the UK energy sector
Corporate Travel Management (CTM), an award-winning global travel management company, has joined OGUK, the leading representative body for the UK offshore industry as a partner and member.
CTM will be offering specialist energy, resource and marine (ERM) travel management services to OGUK members, including Lightning, the proprietary booking platform that was recently named Best Corporate Booking Platform at the Business Travel Awards Europe.
CTM aims to help support OGUK members and the wider sector by providing greater choice, insights and data on sustainable travel methods as the sector adapts to the future. CTM will accelerate this shift by leveraging “Green Choice” flight labelling, carbon budgets by company, team and traveller and the Climate+ data analytics suite that helps organisations monitor, reduce and offset travel-based emissions.
CTM General Manager, Sales, Shelley Mathews is excited by the opportunities the partnership will lead to: “Now more than ever, it’s vital that the right travel choices are facilitated and encouraged by travel management partners. CTM is proud to play our part in the move to more sustainable travel with our innovations in travel technology and investments in sustainable aviation fuel. We’re looking forward to engaging with the OGUK community and sharing our expertise.”
‘’We’re excited to offer a progressive and innovative mix of service and proprietary technology for travel services in the sector and by joining industry bodies such as OGUK and Subsea UK, it keeps us on top of evolving best practices and trends within the industries, thus ensuring we support our clients exceptionally.”
OGUK Chief Executive Deirdre Michie OBE said: “It is great to have CTM as an OGUK member. Our companies are focused on harnessing their skills to innovate and scale up the greener solutions needed to help the UK achieve net zero by 2050, while generating enough energy to keep our society functioning.
“CTM’s approach of using insights and data into sustainable travel fits in well with that core industry goal. We look forward to working with them as our changing industry plays its key part in accelerating the country’s transition to a low carbon energy mix.”
OGUK is the leading representative organisation for the UK offshore oil and gas energy industry. Our membership includes around 400 organisations with an interest in the UK’s upstream oil and gas sector. As the champions of industry, we work on behalf of the sector and our members to inform understanding with facts and evidence, engage on a range of key issues and support the broader value of this industry in a changing energy landscape.
