CTM announces support and partnership with Jamie Carr and Nothing Ventured
London, Monday 15th November – Corporate Travel Management (CTM), an award-winning global travel management company, is delighted to announce their support and partnership with Jamie Carr and the Nothing Ventured campaign as part of the Atlantic Challenge and Marathon Des Sables as sponsor and exclusive travel partner.
The Nothing Ventured campaign is a solo and unsupported endeavour, comprising of physical and mental challenges in two of mother nature’s most testing environments. The first challenge is an ultra-marathon in six days in March over approximately 156 miles (254km) in one of the world’s most inhospitable climates, the Sahara Desert. The second challenge will take place in December 2022 and see Jamie cover more than 3,000 miles in a solo rowing effort across the Atlantic from the Canary Islands to Antigua, known as the world’s toughest ocean row.
Jamie is a 29-year-old Manchester City football coach, living and working in the UK. Although born and bred in a small seaside town in Dublin, Ireland, Jamie has no maritime experience. During his time travelling around the world he encountered severe child poverty, inspiring him to take on the challenge of a lifetime to make a difference in young people’s lives for the better. CTM is proud to support with travel, logistics and risk management services alongside sponsorship funds that go to two causes very close to the hearts of CTM’s employees.
The primary objective of the two monumental challenges will be to raise £50,000 for charities that provide support, hope and fun to the lives of children all over the world. Click here to donate.
Cancer Fund for Children provides support to children diagnosed with cancer and their families by offering vital therapeutics short breaks at Daisy Lodge. The funds will go towards a much needed second Daisy Lodge in Co Mayo, Ireland.
City in the Community is Manchester City’s Official Foundation. Reaching 40,000 people each season, CITC proudly offers eighteen different projects for participants in Greater Manchester. Jamie’s fundraising will support the new initiative focused on mental health, City Thrive.
