Short-haul comfort just got more cramped with BAs announcement last month that it is to install non-reclining seats on flights of up to four hours. It is a move which will allow BA to compete better with the low-cost airlines. The first “gentle recline” seats will be fitted into its 35 new A320 neos and A321neos, which will allow BA to fit an extra two rows of seats. Only one third of boards of airlines and a fifth at airports, have fully integrated cyber security into their business plans. This is the view of SITA, global IT provider, who says that there is room for improvement. “While cyber security is the number one priority for almost all airlines and airports, it demands more attention and must be higher on industry board agendas,” warned Barbara Dalibard, CEO of SITA.
