Best Travel Management Company (£50m to £200m annual UK sales)
The UK Business Travel Awards are considered to be the ‘Oscars’ of the British corporate travel industry. They recognise and celebrate the achievements of the sector’s foremost businesses, teams and individuals, who have performed outstandingly in their chosen field over the last 12 months.
Commenting on CTM’s winning entry, the judging panel said: “CTM demonstrated both strength and diversity, with a good bespoke offering along larger TMC lines, and at the forefront of technology and innovation”
GTMC AWARDS 2016
Corporate Travel Management has scooped the much coveted GTMC Innovation Award in recognition of its Smart technology suite of ground-breaking business travel applications.
Paul Wait, CEO of the GTMC, said: “I am honoured to present our sixth Innovation award to Corporate Travel Management for the creation of a unique tool that serves the traveller, the booker and the travel manager which is a fantastic achievement. CTM has well and truly earned this accolade and I wish the team many congratulations on behalf of the GTMC.”

Best Account Management Team
Corporate Travel Management UK’s business management team triumphed at this year’s People Awards winning the accolade for Best Account Management Team of the Year.
The judging panel, who are a highly experienced team of business travel professionals commented on the Corporate Travel Management (CTM) team’s submission saying: “The winners in this category demonstrated their drive to provide customers with the very best account management service by consistently being innovative with client programmes and looking for ways to support their client’s programme, whether that’s using their expertise to deep-dive into data analysis to identify savings or educate bookers to use online tools. Client feedback showed how the team worked with them to drive change as well as identify areas for improvement across all areas of their client’s business travel programme resulting in substantial savings.”
In January 2015 Chambers travel Group merged with Corporate Travel Management, prior to the acquisition Chambers and our teams across Europe received an exciting number of acclaimed awards.

Operations Team of the Year
Commenting on the EuroCentre Team’s entry, the judges said: “Adapting to differing clients’ servicing requirements across multiple markets and languages, this Operations Team demonstrated service delivery excellence through technology and workplace innovation. Delivering a quality service across all booking channels with a can-do attitude, their flexible and personal approach has enabled their company to win significant new pan-European business over the past year.”

The judges described Matthew Heymans, Business Development Manager as follows: “In a particularly highly competitive category, the winner demonstrated a very expansive and collaborative working style to deliver a strategic bespoke approach and proposition to potential clients.
Business Development Team of the Year
The Chambers SME sales team is made up of three Business Development Managers, Matthew Mullard, Nicholas Amico and Betty Blok, all of whom joined the company as graduates within the last two years. The panel of judges praised the team saying: “The winners of this category clearly demonstrated the benefits of working as a team sharing challenges, ideas and negotiation techniques aligned to identifying new client opportunities.

For the second consecutive year Chambers has been named Best Travel Management Company (£50m – £200m UK sales) and commenting on the reasons for awarding Chambers the top spot, the judges said “the winner shows a clear understanding of their clients business objectives. The judges were impressed with its bespoke technology solutions, and multiple employee recognition and development schemes. They are also supportive of the industry as a whole.”
Travel Team of the Year – Chambers & Herbert Smith Freehills
Chambers was appointed as the travel provider for Herbert Smith Freehills two years ago and in that time client and TMC have worked together to modernise its travel management programme, drive efficiencies and enhance service levels. The judging panel stated “this was a unanimous decision based on the bespoke solution and team approach. The travel management company clearly listened to the client and the demonstrated change management was extremely impressive. After the initial implementation, they continued to deliver above and beyond as a client/supplier team.”
Best Specialist Business Travel Product
Chambers’ recently-launched myCT – a personalised gateway to Chambers’ products and services from a single, intuitive tiled display, accessible from any device – captured the imagination of the judges to be awarded Best Specialist Business Travel Product. The panel “commended the winners for delivering technology that is not only relevant but provides a unique platform for their corporate clients”. This is the second time Chambers has received this award, having previously won it for its iApprove product in 2011.

Best Travel Management Company
The judges awarded Chambers the top accolade in recognition of its outstanding work as a TMC, stating:
“Chambers has a very impressive growth record, a very impressive client list and a very, very impressive CSR programme. Their expansion into the SME pan European market, showing a high level of confidence in their capability, is to be commended.” Chambers was also shortlisted in the category Best Specialist Business Travel Product/Provider for iApprove v2 automated travel approval product for offline and online transactions.

iApprove was named Best Specialist Business Travel Product for its proven cost and time saving abilities with the judging panel commenting: “The panel admired the winner for their in-house development of bespoke tools in response to customer demand, and were impressed by the real savings and efficiencies created by its technology.”
Best Sales Account management
Client retention and satisfaction were key to Chambers collecting another award for its Sales and Account Management team. The judges at the Business Travel Awards stated: “With the spotlight on teamwork, the winning team had a highly focused approach during the last 12 months. They adapted to change and demonstrated outstanding solidarity.”

The judges at the Business Travel Awards cited Chambers’ client-focussed approach and impressive account retention as the reasons for awarding it with the ‘Best Sales Account Management Team’ accolade.
