worst enemies at times, putting not only
themselves but also their employers’
data at risk too. They will blow caution
to the wind in hotels to gain that all-
important wifi access, for example.
“Free wifi is the worst thing you
can use as it’s all unencrypted,” warns
security expert Dr Richard Tynan,
technologist at Privacy International.
“Travellers want access at all costs and
forget the risks.”
Sharing itineraries, taking
unnecessary vital data on laptops on
trips, and accessing hotel wifi are just
some of the high-risk actions that
should be avoided at all costs. The
worst-case scenario can be financial
loss to the company and impairment
of operations.
